Six years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis, as a huge fan of playing sports I was looking for a new sport that on the one hand will improve my functioning and on the other hand very enjoyable. I started in a regular yoga class as well as swimming on a regular basis, but I still felt that I did not exhausting my physical and mental abilities. After a friend recommended Bikram Yoga, I signed up for the introduction week and was instantly hooked. The experience starts with the entrance to the heated humid room. It sounds weird but heat cures, releases and gives the body remarkable flexibility. Performance of the training with guidance of 90 minutes by the guides requires alertness, concentration and following every movement and posture. Each class is different and gives the trainee the experience mentally and physically new.Training system has made me more flexible, more aware of my body and relaxed. The stiffness I felt due to the arthiritis disappeared and with it came a change in diet, sleep and even every-day lifestyle.
This amazing integration of yoga which allows a balance between body and mind and improvement of fitness while significantly increasing the range of motion of the body (with the help of heat – practice in these special conditions) has brought many practitioners to come dare and try this new method and fall in love!
Today, after 11 years of activity, we have taught, educated, and established the position of Bikram Yoga in Israel.
The studio serves over 1,000 regular customers every month and hosts between 29-32 classes a week.
Studio activity is mostly carried out in a heated room of 38 ° C and 50 percent humidity, the heating is possible thanks to a special heating machine which has been optimized for this specific purpose.
The heat from the heating machines, combined with specialized moisture machines balances the temperature in the room between the heat and dryness /desired humidity.
Today we offer a variety of types of classes among them – Bikram Yoga, Pilates, and Hot Ashtanga.
